As a digital copywriter, you'll need to:
Maintain information architecture and up to date product documentation.
Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented.
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
Partner with the counterparts to align with and influence the broader content strategy and technical writing practice.
Someone with good understanding of the knowledge management industry.
Must have a technical background (ex: BE Computer Science or MCA).
2+ years of digital copywriting experience prefrably technical documentation.
Exceptional written communication skills.
Ability to explain and write concepts clearly.
Up to date with recent documentation tools.
Good research and analytical skills to gain an accurate understanding of the subject in question.
Ability to do multitasking.
Good attention to detail, including the ability to proofread your own and others' work
Ability to work independently and flexibly.
Exposure in API documentation, user guides and release notes.
Should have shareable samples of content.
You'll work Monday to Saturday on regular hours, although evening work can be necessary, especially for projects with tight deadlines. Depending on the employer and different timezones, client meetings may take place late in the evening.
You'll be managing several tasks at once, which makes work interesting but can feel stressful at busy times.
You'll need to adapt your writing style to fit with the client's audience. You may write in a professional, corporate tone and voice for some tasks, but more informally in others. In all cases you'll need to do your research to ensure that what you write is accurate and conveys the message as clearly as possible.
Your writing will be subject to editing and feedback - both from clients and members of our team. This can be challenging to hear if you've worked hard on your writing, but it's always about conveying the message to readers as effectively as possible.
