We offer a 25% discount on all editions of PHPKB knowledge base software to schools, colleges, universities, and non-profit organizations. We understand that running an organization isn’t cheap. With budget and personnel restrictions, it’s often hard to get the latest technology approved or prioritized.

For nonprofit organizations who are doing the valuable work of improving society, we’re trying to change that. We are offering a 25% discount to help nonprofits build their knowledge base with PHPKB and utilize knowledge management so they can save time, empower their team and make the best use of the resources. To request a non-profit discount you need to send us an official e-mail from your organization’s account. We may also request proof of your non-profit organization, issued by the respective authorities of your country.

Similarly, proof of accreditation or affiliation may be required from schools, colleges, and universities, when ordering an Academic License.

What is a Nonprofit?

A nonprofit organization or foundation (NPO), also known as a non-business entity, not-for-profit organization, or nonprofit institution, is dedicated to furthering a particular social cause or advocating for a shared point of view. In summation, it is a business/corporation that has been given tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) because the further a religious, scientific, charitable, educational, literary, public safety or cruelty-prevention mission or area of work. an organization needs to request 501(c) prior to operating with a tax exemption.

Organization eligibility

Organizations must be nonprofit or non-governmental organizations with recognized legal status in their respective country (equal to 501(c)(3) status under the United States Internal Revenue Code).

Mission eligibility

Your organization must have a mission to benefit the local community including, but not limited to providing relief to the poor, advancing education, improving social welfare, preserving culture, restoring the environment, human rights, establishing civil society.

Non-Discrimination Eligibility

Organizations are not eligible to participate in the nonprofit discount program if they have a policy or mission of discrimination in hiring, compensation, promotion, termination, retirement, training, programs, and/or services.

Difference between a nonprofit and a 501C3

These terms are often used interchangeably, but they all mean different things. Nonprofit means the entity, usually a corporation, is organized for a nonprofit purpose. 501(c)(3) means a nonprofit organization that has been recognized by the IRS as being tax-exempt by virtue of its charitable programs. A 501(c)(3) organization is a non-profit organization established for religious organizations (e.g., churches), charities, and certain educational institutions. These organizations are prohibited from engaging in lobbying.
